Where can I purchase an extra wire shelf for the sliding galley?

Too late for me to call Jackson Center- but I am planning a long trip out west in a few days and just realized I could easily fit and put to use another wire shelf in my sliding galley.

Searching the forums currently to see if anyone has a lead on where I can find one for purchase, but I figured I would ask the question to the masses as well.

Thanks in advance

Michael

Not sure about the fit or attachments, but you might try Home Depot, or Lowe's or the Container store for wire storage shelving rack.

ValMog on Forums did some retrofitting of thier closet with wire rack.

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f483...elp-93085.html

You may be looking for OEM stock but short of that, you might find something at one of those places.

Hopefully someone on here who has more experience in searching out Airstream vendors can help out but thought I would contribute this info.

If you're looking for additional baskets for the sliding pantry, Out Of Doors Mart will have them.

AS delivers three and the pantry will easily accommodate five.

Good luck!

Ravenna, Ohio? What is your path westward?

Only Airstream dealers can get original parts for you. You could have one delivered to a dealer west of you along the path of your travels. But you must contact a dealer. Jackson Center is not the proper connect point for such orders.

We have a number of medium sized Rubbermaid type containers that stack wonderfully in our used-twice-a-summer shower.

BTW -- yes, this was one of the first things I ordered from the dealer when we bought our Safari in Summer 2005.

Ordered

Well,

On the advice of everyone, I called Out of Doors Mart and they said they did not stock the part. And they also said they would call me back when they found the part number to see if they could order it. But since I am leaving this weekend, I didnt want to wait around on others. So I then called Inland RV and they didnt know the part number and couldnt tell me if they stocked it or not.

So at this point, I just searched for a parts listing myself online, which I found one for the whole trailer on the Airstream site. I then found the number for the wire basket 381551-02 and called Airstream Parts at the Factory. They had it in stock, but I needed to get it through a dealer or just but it from them in person.

Feel foolish because I was just down there the other day/

Anyways, they gave me a number to an Ohio dealer who could have it drop shipped directly to me.

Had to pay a $10 freight charge, since my order was under $100 which didnt make much sense. The part alone was $30 and after tax and shipping I was around $55...

Now I just need the thing to get here before the weekend

Mission Accomplished and I m actually glad I found the Parts Book for future referencing

Not a fun part to source. I was looking for one for months.

I just ordered some stuff direct from Airstream (stainless covers for water heater / furnace / vent range hood) and they were kind enough to sell me the rack as well. About the same price you paid.

Well, I got the shelves today and they are identical to the ones in the Airstream pantry. I placed my order on the 13th and it arrived today (the 15th).

Most of this stuff comes from Rev-a-shelf or Knape & Voight or Hafele. Try the websites.
