What type of Wood Finish Used??

We have a 1999 Classic with oak cabinets and trim. I would like to touch up the wood finish in a few spots. Is the existing finish lacquer, shellac, water based varathane, or oil based varathane?

For dark wood in the house I have always just rubbed in old English oil.

I would use Birchwood Casey Tru Oil. It is marketed for gun stocks. It easy easy to use. You can apply it with your fingertips or a piece of cotton cloth. You can add more coats of you want to fill the grain and build it up. If it is too shiny for your tastes, you can buff it with steel wool to dull it.
