Wanting to change lounge placement

Our 74 Arogsy28 is a decent trailer and after some time we finally were able to take it out for a family vacation. All systems worked great and after meeting with other airstreamers I learned how to light the fridge from the outside giving us the ability to use the gas on the fridge

Meal time proved to be a pain becasue when we would sit down to eat at the table...it was cramped. Our trailer has a front lounge and a small table attached to the wall where the credenza with standard folding table should be. Also there isn't much room for anything other than a small folding chair between the table and fridge. We thought we could just live with it because most camp grounds have picnic tables which we used. But the other day I was looking at a broucher for a 1978 Ambassador 28 side lounge which was great! It got me to thinking about the possibility to change our layout to something more like the Ambassador.

Some of the things running through my mind are can I modify my existing lounge from around the water tank and what about finding plans or drawings for a credenaza and folding table that will fit over my watertank.
Has anyone here done that kind of modification to their Airstream? Where is the water tank located in the Ambassador?

So many questions....so little bandwith.

My 75 Ambassador had a front couch/bed and roadside credenza with foldout table. There is about 9' from the front of the trailer to the fridge. I removed the credenza and table, The couch was moved over to the roadside wall where the credenza was. I now have almost three feet between the front window and the couch where I will put a table the dog can sleep underneath.

The water tank on this trailer is under the floor.

Most of the furniture is just screws and a few rivets. Its not too much trouble to move things around if you engage in good planning and a bit of care.

Does the dog agree with this plan?

"Does the dog agree with this plan?"

We'll find out the next rally. His old spot was where he could sprawl out between the fridge and the stove. He got stepped on.

The new one ... well, we'll see. He'll get a nice secure box and we will not have to worry about stepping on dog. I hope.
