vinyl pealing off cabinet doors ??????

I,m new to the AS family, I just purchased a 98 25' safari. All is well, but the vinyl on overhead cabinet doors is pealing off on some door. I have seen reference to this on forum, but no solution posted????? Can I buy new wood grain vinyl some place.
The dealer says you have to buy a new door. Has anyone stripped off the vinyl and finished the veneer ? thank for the help
