Under sink space/layout

Can a few of you please post some picture of what under the kitchen sink looks like. I currenlty have no shelving or front on my sink and need to design/build a new under sink layout and doors. I have a 75 tradewind. I see under the sink there is the furnace on the right and the plumbing on the left. I want to add shelves to add some more storage space but should I be concerned with clearances?

The picture attached is what is currently there just a white board with nothing behind it.

thanks

I don't have any photos, but there is a single shelf about 2 or so inches above our furnace (I keep cases of soda pop on it when we aren't travelling) and the same height of shelf on the side under the sink. A single shelf dividing the height.

The front is closed by vertical tambour. Use the Google search up top (under Search), and look for tambour, you'll see lots of threads.

Photo of under sink cabinet with door and shelf over furnace with detachable front. Pardon the mess.

Factory original, 1974

Here you see what I tried to describe above. Tambour doors are open on the furnace side and the sink side. One shelf in each opening, the one above the furnace is even closer than I thought. Don't store anything heavy on the above the furnace shelf though, bouncing around as you travel could make the shelf move.

Also visible is the tray of mouse bait visible in the lower right corner. Necessary for winter storage up here.

Click the yellow bar to enlarge, hit F11 for even bigger. F11 again returns you to standard mode.

The clear advantage of a tambour door is that it can be wide open without interfering with traffic flow around it. The clear disadvantage is that they do need service with time. Need for lubrication, or even repair of the backing will come to you in time.
