Unhappy Toilet-no room to sit

2004 28' Safari: I'm unable to sit on the toilet with out sitting side- saddle. The bathroom cabinet hits my knee. I'm just 5'11" tall. Have any one else had this problem and how hard is it to remove or modify the cabinet to give my knee more room? Thanks

Additional thought

Can the toilet be turned and 'pointed' towards the bathroom door to allow more butt to knee 'leg' room?

It may be possible to turn the toilet. I have that ability on my old '64 Safari. It beats the youknowwhat out of amputation.
Height and thigh length are not always related; my sister stands 2" shorter than me, but sits 1" higher.
I always used to laugh when I read about someone "test driving" the toilet before purchasing their Airstream. Now I understand why.

Happy Holidays,
