Tambour Wood or Fake?

Hi All,
I had a neighbor look inside my airstream and he made the comment that my tambour doors were plastic? He said his were real wood on his Argosy? What are yall's made of? I knew mine weren't solid wood but I believe they are a particle board of some type. All other wood seems to be real. Now I'm self conscious of a cheap look and want to replace tambour with real wood doors.
thanks
James

They may be a laminate in a 70 O'lander - do they look like these?

If so, they are laminate...

But who cares what your neighbor thinks...if you like them and they function, right? But if you must change them...oak tambour is readily available from various sources so they could be replaced.
