putting repaired tambour doors back in

After following your advice, we repaired the tambor in the bedroom, but are having a hard time gettin the doors back in now that they are in one piece. Any advice?

Is there a possibility you ran the backing all the way to the edges? If so, I suspect the thickness inside of the slides is too great for good freedom of movement. Were it mine, and that the case, I first would attempt to remove the 1/4 inch or so from each side, clean the glue residue and see if that would correct the situation.
