Storage in rounded cabinets?

Hi, we have a 16' Bambi so storage is at a premium. In the cabinets above the bed I am having difficulty organizing clothing. It seems to be just shoved in and gets worse with use. Any ideas for separators, shelves, etc? I also think it is a little deep for me to reach into the back of these without climbing onto the bed. Have you discovered what is best to store under the bed in the area that opens to the outside? Has anyone figured out a way to haul bicycles? Thanks, Sheila

Hi Sheila,

I am so glad that you brought this up. I have had the same issue with storage and climbing on the bed to get to things. So I let Jerry (6'4') use the over bed storage for his clothing and things.

I am always on the search for just the right sized plastic bins to fit as best as possible in the overhead compartments to organize things. I have two of these: Basic Smart Solutions Dishpans

They are dishpans, but are rather tall and thin, so they do work in my front storage for my clothing. They are too big for the overbed stoage, however.

I thought about making shelves, but I like the ability to take the bins down without using a folding step. I can remove the bins to get to the contents and replace them without using the folding step. I keep things I need often in the front bins and use the under bed storage for less often used items.

We have the 19' Bambi, so these ideas might not apply so much to your 16'.

We don't have a space problem, but still, we had good results with canvas lined baskets for organizing and storing our clothes. These baskets come in all different sizes, and are easy to remove and load up at our house.
We carry our bicycles on a bike carrier n teh roof of the tow vehicle. We use a Thule brand rack, and it has proven quite sturdy and reliable over the years.
We use our storage that has outside access to store things we need outside, such as folding chairs and table, leveler blocks, and sometimes the frshwaterhose and patio rug.
