source for countertop metal edge?
hi!
we are completely redoing the interior of our AS . altho not the bath yet. no offense to any but i hate that bath so much words can't e xpress!
anyway, we are making a rustic, cabin, fun interior. life is short and mine may be really shorter (*sigh*) so we are making this for *us*. not what we think someone else may like some day.
making primitive style kitchen cabinets. i'd like to have the laminate countertops that have the metal edge. funky old look.
so far i haven't been able to find source for this edging. guess i do not know the right words to do the search.
thanks if any can help!

If you want funky why not use carpet edge trim strips that you can get at Lowes, etc. Their aluminum and come in various lengths/widths and can be tacked to the counter edge.

The edging is still available, I replaced the plastic on my counter tops with it. I believe it came from Menards,if not there , it would have come from Lowes. When I attached I used construction adhesive along with the spiral nails.

The place that has the largest selection and cool rippled finish is Outwater Plastics. Now don't let the name fool you, they have lots of stuff in metal too.
outwater.com
Enjoy. You'll spend at least an hour perusing their website.

If you are ordering from the folks at Atwater Plastics, make sure you speak with a customer service rep before you order. I was told that some of this T-Molding is not appropriate for bending around corners. In our case we ended up using a wooden moulding.

The metal T moulding from Outwater can be bent around corners but the T part of the moulding needs to be removed so it can bend. Not too difficult of a task with an angle grinder and a steady hand. I've done this a few times on several tables and my countertop trim.
