Shelf over front window measurement.

I am going to replace the shelf over the window that came in my 1961 bambi. From photos, it looks like the upper shelf is deeper than the bottom one. I am hoping someone will measure the depth of the upper shelf so I can build one. Thanks!

Can anyone help me out with a the measurement of the upper shelf?

The original depth of the upper shelf in my '61 Safari was 9". When I rebuilt it into a cabinet to house a radio, speakers, and 2 storage cabinets with doors I increased the depth to 11". If you search for my photos under my name you should be able to find a photo of the finished cabinet. I think I called it my "dashboard".
