Im looking for the piping that goes on the edge of the cabinets where it meets up with the sides of the trailer. It staples onto the wood and takes up the gap where the cabinets meet up with the walls etc. Anyone know where to get this?
Thanks
If you are speaking of the trim that looks like a tube, I have heard it is very hard to find. I am remodeling and might have some if I remove certain cabinets. I can keep you posted.
Marine or aircraft supply. THey have funny shaped stuff that will last quite a while.
Have a look at:
westmarine.com
or

The "piping" or welting that I have is not tube/flap ... it's a T-shape. The long side staples to the cabinet and one side of the T smooths against the cabinet, the other against the wall, creating a concave 1/4" strip.
Anyone know where to get this ... and hopefully inexpensively since there are a LOT of lineal feet.
It wouldn't be an issue, except the previous owner varnished the cabinets in place and the varnish has yellowed like 50 years of nicotine.
What you are looking for is called reverse cove gimp molding. It's still used in a lot of trailers. I've been trying to source this for a couple of years. I was able to get some at the local RV dealer but still haven't been able to come up with the color I need . The cording is usually pretty easy to get especially at automotive upholstery shops.
Thanks to 63air for the lead. A Google search for "reverse cove gimp molding" directed me to West and Barker = Custom Plastic Extrusions. . The "gimp" is not the thing for which we are looking, but the "reverse cove" IS. They have faxed me drawings of 8 different profiles, and I think that there is one that is just the ticket. They can attach any color or woodgrain to the face. All I want is "ivory." Tomorrow, Mr. Barker is supposed to call me. After a discussion about PVC vs. Polyethene, I hope that he can be sweet-talked into selling me 60', instead of a full roll of 500! I'll let you know.
West and Barker looks like a good place to know about. I notice that they have plastic end cap j-moulding which I thought was no longer available anywhere.
