Unhappy Roll up doors [tampor] ?

Is that what you call it? Are those flexable roll up or out doors still available for my 71' Int.?? I need them for under range and the cradenza next to the dining table. I'm about ready to put hinges on them.

The original "tambour" doors in your Airstream were a nutmeg teak color. Hickory is the only color still available from Airstream. Andy

The tambour material is still available but you will have to buy a 4X8 sheet of it and cut it down yourself. I have the kinks at home to two companies that sell tambour and their sites I will post those later tonight for you to look at.

Wink

Thanks new kid 64 . I'll let you know how it works out if I get the material. While on the subject, I have the center part of the lower track loose, took screws from undeneath at the left end and removed pieces of the door by moving them to the center but I will need to REMOVE the track at the left end to get the tampor in. It is still facened somewhere at the left end. How do you get it off??

I cannot picture what you are describing. Is the tambor a left/right moving one or is it an up/down one? All tambors roll into a spiral to store them. Depending on where the tambor is you may have to dissasemble most of the cabinet it covers.

Here is the link I mentioned. They sell the P spirals as well as the tambor materials and all kinds of other neat plastics and woodworing stuff. Just ask for a catalog. They have may difent kinds of tambor sheets, from a formica finish to maple, hickory or redoak all unfinished so you can stain to match.

Hope this helps.

Cool

The doors move horizontally. Under the range[ which covers the furnace] from left to right. I've got the spirals out. Under the credenza which is next to the dinning table, it moves from right to left. Just thought there might be some trick to removing them with out taking the cabinate apart. Guess not??
