Removing stains in ABS sink and shower

I read somewhere on here a concoction made of peroxide and some other ingredients to make it gel so it will stay in one place. You put this stuff on and let it sit to get rid of stain without sanding. Some stains run pretty deep so sanding may not be as effective as bleaching the stains out. Does anyone know about this stuff?

The owner's manual for our '74 talks about using fine sandpaper to remove stains then auto wax after finer sandpaper to regain glossy shine.

What does your manual say about rejuvenating the sink?

This is the site with the retrobrite formula. I've been meaning to try it on my yellowed overhead light shades but haven't gotten around to it... I have no idea if it works for ABS... maybe try in a small area first!
