Removing refrigerator cabinet top

Does anyone know how the top of the refrigerator cabinet is attached? Do you think it would be an easy task to remove?
I have two concerns.
First: The top of our refrigerator cabinet is sagging. We have a small portable microwave that we store up there, but I don't think that is the cause of the sagging. We keep the microwave in the right rear corner and the top's sagging in the middle. Anyway, if it can be easily removed I would like to brace it and correct the sagging.
Second: I want to replace the laminate and because of the position of the range hood, it would be much easier if I could remove the cabinet top.
