Recover chairs?

We have two 20 year old Zip Dee chairs that are in good condition. Is it possible to have them recovered in the AS blue?

Speaking of chairs

Speaking of chairs, has anyone replaced their dinettes with recliners, a couch, or a sofa bed (19' Bambi). Just curious. Thinking about how we use the trailer the most.

I saw some replacement Zip Dee chair canvas for sale at the Airstream "store" at the 2006 International Rally, in AS blue too. Contact them, maybe this product can be ordered through dealers.

The folding couch/bed is, or has been, an option for a very long time. Maybe you can find someone with a gaucho (folding couch) that they would like to trade for a dinette.

Starflyte1,

Just purchased new fabric for zipdees. My chairs were purchased used so I don't know the age of the chairs. I would guess at least 20-25 years. Went on line to zipdee for a telephone number, called, they were $18 each plus freight.

Only problem, the covers are 1/2 inch too short and it would require stretching the springs too much. Zipdee and I are in discussion at present as to why they are larger than the replacements. Apparently their specs don't show a size change over the years. So buyer beware.

Klattu, Yes they are ss. But, I think we will keep looking for covers!

wingfoot, Have you solved the "no fit" problem yet?

I can see how replacing the cover could be a real chore. Our Zip Dees might injure a person, they are strung so tightly. Please let me know how it works out. In the mean time, I will check out the Zip Dee site. Now, why didn't I think of that? Thanks!

Another question? What ZipDee, Sunbrella color is AS blue? Pacific?

Pat
