Plywood Doors

I need a little help. My 64 Tradewind cabinet doors are made of 7/16" oak plywood. I have 5 doors that need replacing, and I am trying to keep the cabinets original. The problem is I cannot find any 7/16 oak plywood. I thought about using 1/2" but the original latches which you push in and turn will not work with the 1/2 plywood. Also even though it is only 1/16" difference you can tell that the thickness is different. Right now, the only thing I can think of is replacing all of the doors with 1/2 but of course I would lose the original hardware. Is there any place in US to buy 7/16 plywood? My Internet has turned up nothing so far.

I have actually tried that also and thought I had it solved. It did in fact solve the push and turn hardware problem. However, when I used contact cement the veneer would peel under high moisture and temperature extremes. Then, I tried wood glue that resulted in a lumping of the surface.

7/16" plywood is typically limited to OSB today. Converted to the metric system the measurement becomes 11.1mm. If you search for 11mm plywood, you'll find options like the one below:

Buy 1/2" and have 1/32 sanded off of each side.
