original light fixtures - do people want them?

I'm renovating my old Airstream and I've replaced the light fixtures. Do people want the originals? Where's the best place to sell/find a home for them?

Thanks!

Maria

Yes!!!

Somebody will definately want them! Who knows, they may have been looking for some already....and just waiting for you to come along!

Either post a classified ad here on the forum or list them on ebay, you will have no problem finding a new home for them. Pictures always help ~

If they were from a '64 I'd want them...

I just saw a set on eBay and thought I'd pick them up as spares, then I saw how much $$ they went for! Too high for me!

Never throw away anything vintage until you're sure nobody wants it. I did the same thing with some classic mustang parts that I am still kicking myself over. In the vintage market, one man't trash is definitly another man's treasure!

Original Light Fixtures

Stephanie, I Was Out Bid On 2 Previous Fixture Auctions And Am Currently Bidding On The Ones Offered Today. I've Also Lost To Auctions On Window Closer Hardware And Am Bidding On More Today. What Is Really A Shame Is It Has Been The Same Person Who Won All Those Auctions....guess That Trailer Is Missing A Lot Of Stuff...lol! Just Thought You'd Like To Know. Well Back To Surfing The Forums......Ed

I know that feeling, Ed, I haven't bought any AS bits off eBay yet! Whenever I see something I want it usually goes beyond what I'm willing to pay before I even have a chance to bid! That is funny about the same guy getting all your stuff though You two should meet, apparently you have much in common!

Maria -
I'm looking for a particular light fixture myself. Its one from over the galley. Its a three sided piece of metal that houses a single incandescent bulb and has louvers in it approximately 8 inches long. Do you have such a fixture? If so, send me a PM. I'd prefer you not wait 102 years. Thanks.

FF

P.S.: Can you describe the bathroom light? Does it hang underneath the overhead cabinet in there? I'm missing an end piece and I've not seen another like it.

Hmm, I'm guessing I outbid somebody on a set of light fixtures somewhere, but they weren't really original... So, please let us know when yours go up for sale!!

flyfshr - the over-the-sink light had been replaced with a flourescent fixture.

I'll post pix soon....

I'm interested, too.

If nobody else wants them.

I sold mine on eBay and got MORE for the originals than I paid for the 12VDC flourescent replacements!
