Can you still get to the Romex in the wall? I would check to see if the wire nuts are not coming loose from the vibration when traveling and then use some electrical tape to make sure they don't, or…

You could put up an electrified jackalope with glowing red eyes.

A sconce light fixture might work. Maybe one that resembles an old fashioned gas lamp.

You could use a house furnace air intake duct grille ,that's mounted on the lower portion on a wall.
They come in many different sizes!! Most white in color!!!
