OEM Spice Rack
Does anyone know where I can get one of those spice racks that goes behind the stove?
I am talking about one of those that I have seen in the Excella's.
OEM Spice rack.
I have an aftermarket but I cant seem to keep the bottles in place during travel. I also would like to store more bottles of spice.

Enclosed
Thanks moe but not what I had in mind.
I guess I should have clarified by saying that I see them in the vintage excellas.
It is an enclosed model with tambour door.
I will post photo below,
You can see it on the left. This model has a white door. I have seen them with wood veneer.

I want one too!
This detail shows how much more elaborate the older AS's were. They don't build those "private jet style" interiors no more.

All in the eyes
Ron elaborate is apparently in the eye of the beholder. I think Moe's wood interior is more elab.
Tambour is a monstrosity that I wiah had never been intro'ed into the Airstreams.
I still wonder if there has ever been a "sucessful" switch from tambour to swing out/up cab doors.
Smily can you ID the year of the trailer in the picture?
Also what is the item on the countertop between the sinks and the range?

A Nutone base, an all in one food processor. Look on eBay if you want to see something worth some $$.

Airstremist
Let Airstreams be Airstreams!
Tambour is characteristic of Airstreams. They were made that way for years. As a matter of fact a 1976 Airstream has both wood veneer and white Tambour doors.
I cannot understand why someone who dislikes the characteristics of an Airstream would spend so much time studying them and critiqueing them.

Any serious cook (and my wife is) will tell you that above the range is the worst possible place for spices. The heat degrades them really quickly. Nevertheless, she's willing to compromise with them located there for space considerations.
From a practical standpoint, I think that door over the range would get grease in all the grooves, and be a pain to clean.

RoadKing Moe, where did you get the on-line parts book? I would like to have one for my 1986 Excella.

Spice Rack
Hey Smily:
I'm willing to part with mine as I batch it all summer in the Airstream and I find the rack is a junk collector. It is the same as the one in the pic.
Problem is, I can't get at it till May as the trailer is 500 miles north of me.
No reasonable offer refused.

as to the tambour - it sure is a cool feature on my airstream- works well and looks fine, the only problem is my bathroom medicine cabinet where it sticks occasionally.
I have a question regarding the cracked plastic as it had been discussed sometime back, anyone else have success repairing this? I have a few cracks in the overhead cabinets that I have repaired with a culk filler but I am not happy with the results.
I would like to be able to seal the crack somehow. My caulking is the kind that has a speckled finish and covers the crack but does not look so great.
