Nice work. How did you attach the cabinets to the walls?

Sorry for the delay!

The horizonal part is attached to the outboard wall with pieces like this. The angle cut is (more or less) the same as the wall angle at that point.

I made the screw "holes" with a Kreg jig and used regular Kreg screws into the aluminum wall.

The vertical face frame is attached to the roof with a 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" by 1/16" aluminum angle strip. The angle is compensated-for with a wedge-shaped strip of the alder.

Finished cabinets!

The end boards are just held on with angle brackets.

Drboyd, where did you get the aluminum trim for the end board? Does is bend easily without too much deflection on the corner? Cabinets look great.

I got that trim at Orange Aluminum in greater Los Angeles. It bends easily by hand around the corners.

And THANKS!

You mentioned that you obtained the end trim pieces from Orange Aluminum. when I went to their website I did not find the flexible aluminum trim in your photo. Do you have a description or stock number?

Looks great! How did you attach the bottom to the back of the face frame?

I believe it was OA7428-6 from this page.

They don't refer to it as "flexible," but it is bendable by hand.

I did a "rabbet" or "dado" (I'm not sure what to call it) cut 1/4" wide about 1/2" deep roughly 3/8" of an inch up from the bottom of the face frames.
