New Latches for Cabinets

I found these replacement cabinet door and closet door latches at the Airstream Tent at the International. They are exact replacements for the ones in my 1978 Excella 500. I'm sure they were used for many other model years, too. The Airstream Part# is 200144 and they are pricey at $14.25 a piece! Fortunately I only needed 5 of them. They installed just like the originals and they include the hardware for two different style catches.

I've included pictures of the extra parts and a comparison shot of the old vs new. (The new one is on the right!).

I just replaced two broken cabinet latches on my 2002 Bambi at the cost of $4 each from Airstream! I guess replacement parts cost more, exponentially, as the year of the trailer gets older!

Don't throw the old ones out - a good acrylic spray paint and they are as good as new if they are not broken - just look gross I don't need them but some 70's guys out there might.

I already gave away the old ones to folks in the Vintage Club with 70's trailers. I tried painting one, but didn't like the results so I decided to buy new ones.

The other thing that happens is the "spring" is just part of the molded plastic and loses its recoil. Doors pop open as you go down the road, not fun. They are not cheap. but they are available
