New door opening for trailer

I recently purchased a 1978 Argosy 28. It is a shell right now, but my plan is to build it out it as a useable camper for my family, but also as a mobile boutique. I have a large embroidery machine that will need to go in the camper when it is being used as a store. I would like to cut a door big enough to take the machine in and out. It would need to be about 3' x 3 1/2'. Anyone have any advise on doing this? Thanks!

The shell provides at least some of the structural strength of the trailer, in combination with the frame. Airstream placed the oversized door at the back in Eddie Bauer models. I would think you'll need to add structural support for any structural ribs you remove.
