Bought a set of metal brackets and wire to build a folding table.
Cant for the life of me figure out where and how to configure the brackets.
There are:
1 pair (AA) wall brackets.
1 pair of (BB) brackets that has an ear that fits into the wall bracket, and
also holds the wire.
1 pair of (CC) brackets that hold the wire.
1 (DD) wire.
An explanation or photo would be greatly appreciated.

UWE, thanks for the reply. There are 2 ways to build a folding table so that it can be converted to a bed / couch. Both styles are found in Airstreams.
1, Center post with floor and table-bottom plates.
2, Brackets and a very heavy inflexible wire hoop.
Now I bought the metal parts for the 2nd option, and fabricated a plywood table top that also serves as the base for a bed, but just cant seem to figure how or where to screw the brackets, so that in the up position I have a table, and in the bottom position, there is a bed platform. Any insight would be sincerely appreciated.

While I am familiar with the table bracket you are talking about, I don't know the height to mount it at. I've attached a diagram of it from the Nolans RV catalog...probably not big enough to be of much help though...
We opted for a third option to the two you mentioned, the Perko brackets & collapsible leg, when building in our dinette last year...they worked out very well.

Thanks for the diagram. That is the bracket set that I bought.
The difficulty I'm having is in order for that to work, the "Catch bracket" #42399 needs to be mounted on the wall with the opening facing down! And that does not seem right to me, or am I missing something?

The opening does face down. When putting the table up, you tilt up the far (leg) end of the table and insert the tabs on the table end under the openings in the catch bracket. When the leg end of the table is lowered, the tabs go up inside the bracket and the table is then fastened to the wall.

Here is a photo of the brackets laid out in the way they will be installed.
First, put the brackets and the rod on the table end. The tabs point up. Put the table in the down position with the wire agaist the wall. Put the hinges on the rod and screw them to the wall. Next, swing the table up with the end firmly against the wall. Put the top brackets on the tabs and screw them to the wall. Done!

"Navigator Bought a set of metal brackets and wire to build a folding table...."
Please let me know where you found these brackets, as I am interested in doing the same thing. Also, how do you configure the "landing" where the table will rest? Do you just create a notch on the lower cabinets? Any info would help. Thanks.
I've been looking for a set of the above dinette table brackets, and they are apparently discontinued. I have the wire and the wall brackets, still need the two pairs of brackets which go on the table. Any body have or know where to find them? I tried Nolans as mentioned above. They were called "Lif-table" brackets. Used would be great! I will go with the Perko if I can't find these. Thanks
