installing Grass euro hinges

I am trying to replace a Grass hinge on a cabinet door. I can remove the two screws from the mounting plate but the hinge is still as secure as ever.

On a new hinge there appears to be a nylon threaded bushing that the screws are secured in. What is the function of this bushing? How are these bushings anchored into the cabinet door?

How do I remove the old hinge from the cabinet door? Removing the two screws does not loosen the hinge.

Enclosed is two pictures of the hinge showing the bushings.

I believe if you depress the tab on the left side in both of your pictures, that should do the trick.
