aluminum interior

Got the backsplash done yesterday. Decided to use 3M super 77 as a contact cement after removing the lower portion of the cabinet.
Your job looks great that you did last year. Did you end up using the aluminum "look" laminate in the DIY video? Did you just do the backsplash area or take out the cupboards?

I used a piece of clear coated exterior skin. The same as was installed as the kitchen backsplash. I did take out the cupboard and trapped the skin under the edge of the cupboard. I found it unnecessary to remove the counter top. The clamping force of the cupboard and the adhesive hold it in place very well along the lower edge of the aluminum. Just caulked with a silver caulk and it holds nicely.
