Help with overhead shelf!

We have a 79 Ambassador, 28/29'; one side of the double overhead cabinet over a twin bed has dropped; apparently it had problems prior to our purchase of the trailer; we are not certain how to repair it other than finding a good finish carpenter to come in and prop it against the wall; also the tambour has fallen out of the cabinet too. Any advice, help or just good words would be greatly appreciated. We'll be leaving the Coast after being here 3 mo and heading towards home in 2 1/2 weeks; then gone again and would like to have this finished before we leave.

If you can, post a couple of pictures. I have an idea on how to repair your damage, but I would like to make sure what I think you are describing is what you think I am helping you with. Umm... Anyway, post a couple of pictures, if you can get your hands on a digital camera.

I had the overheads start to come down on my 77. Ran some bigger screws into the divider walls to help it out. You may have had too much weight in the overheads or been on some pretty bumpy roads.
