Gluing Foam

We would like to increase the thickness of our twin mattress. I would like to add a 3" dense piece of foam on top of the existing foam. Can they be glued together; if so, what type of adhesive should I use. Thanks!

Yes. You can use 3M FoamFast 74 (Orange) Spray Adhesive...you spray it on both surfaces and adhere (the "orange" means it's orange in color). You should be able to purchase it at any fabric store that sells foam (like Hancock's or Joann's). Suggest you use high-density foam.

If you can't find 3M, I have used rubber cement that they sell at office supply, coat both sides and carefully join, no movement once in place. don't need complete coverage just a quarter inch has held edge connected 2 inch foam.
