original vent

Two original vents of this style, including the light module under the vent, are available. You can see that the translucent panels in the center of the vent cover are cracked and very brittle (I broke them out with my fingers using only light pressure). The lights and switches are working fine. The light shrouds are discolored to a medium yellow.

I have repaired this model vent in the past. You can see there are two plastic panels, one on the outside and one about 1/2" below it. I don't believe both are required, except perhaps for thermal considerations. You can cut a small square of plexiglas and install it with screws or pop rivets, using a narrow band of plumber's putty between the aluminum of the cover and the plexiglas. These vents will also need a new gasket of foam rubber tape between the cover and the top of the vent column.

There is a 3rd vent that is much like a small version of a Fantastic Fan, eg, a fan with a full shroud around the fan blade to ensure positive airflow. I may get that one out in a week or so.

Hey, Zep. I'd like these if they are still available. I just PM'ed you.

Like a .... pinball machine!

Zep -

Saw the in-series string of bulbs on your interior shroud and IMMEDIATELY thought of the inside of a pinball machine! Awesome! The 60's & 70's machines particularly!

I love the sometimes odd connections that the brain makes. Others would see something entirely different, or maybe just a series of lights... Me, I see pinball!

Anyway, a HUGE "THANKS" to you for the tremendous offer that you have made with all these parts. Then taking and posting all the photos to assist all of us.

WAY beyond the call, dude!

Ciao!

Axel

next, vents. This one (of 5 available) is unique in that it has a closely ducted fan. Looks like the fan can be installed in any vent, since the rest of the vent mechanism looks identical to me. I would be willing to remove fan and duct if that's all that's wanted. If not claimed, the other 4 will go to the dumpster on Monday.

Remember, these are available for the cost of shipping. For those awaiting the previously offered parts, I found out some have to be shipped as freight (they exceed the UPS HxWxD dimensions).

Led - would those vent lids work on my '64 Overlander? I'm just looking for the lids, as I've got the original Hehr crank up openers that are in great condition. My domes have been replaced previously, and need replacing now.

It looks like yours have a completley different operating system, but I like the look of the lid/skylight combo.

more stuff!

How about this vent cover--mostly fixed and clear! And vent hardware, like switches (hard to find 4-way rotary switches, folks--no photo), crank handles and switch knobs (both kinds, the screw-on and push-on).

And bath fans (2 each).

And an original water pump that works. Don't know how well, but it did manage to wet the floor while I was testing the system. There may be a slight extra charge for this item--the better the home the lower the charge, so it's not first come first served. We can PM...

Loecj76, Any chance you could send me some digital photos and measurments on that bed you got from Zeppelinium. I really have been looking for a way to get rid of my twin beds.

More parts

Hey, spring in Colorado! So us guys without hangars can get back to work!

Here's some items from the front end, free to a good home, as usual:

1. The tambors from the overhead sotrage space in the front. And the whole frame. The clock might work--it's got an old battery in it (not leaking), but after 25 years, I don't know.

2. The tambors from the under seat storage, front couch only. You can see that the part of the frame that was hidden behind the goucho doesn't have a tambor.

3. Curve back cushion and two throw cushions.

4. The working 8-track. At least the radio is working.

5. The table, with all hardware including the attaching hinge. The table is unfolded here and seems to work well.

Size:	163.3 KB

6. Some odds and ends from the side wall where the table attached, including the fold-out drawer for the 8-track and a fairly long and narrow white tambor.

7. Three of the plastic edges on the interior openings of the vista view windows. They are flexible and in good shape. Several vista view interior covering slider handles.
