Freebies... sorta Safari

I'll be parting out the interior of this Safari in October. My objective today is to get feedback on saving some of the small items that are "unobtainable", but that I threw out without thinking on other remodel projects--things like plastic bed rail glides and handles, etc.

I'm not ready to take orders, yet--what I am looking for is that feedback. If you desperately need an item, a PM with some description of your project would help me a lot in making decisions. Up to now I've been dealing on a first come, first served basis, which is a little unfair to deserving members who aren't on the forum every hour.

All items will be "free", but I'm adding a simple requirement this time--you must be a supporting member of the forums to qualify for free stuff. Other than than, cost is limited to the shipping cost.

Here's the bath. I'll retain most of this, but there may be some items from this section:

I'm converting the mid-section to a permanent bed and a computer work station, so everything goes. The rolling plastic drawer glides could come out individually or mounted on the cabinet walls. Three of the four drawers are intact. One closet door is intact, the other is slightly damaged at the hinge points, but all hardware appears functional, as are the tambors. All bed components will be available, as are the curtain rails.

The front will be converted to bench seats with a center table. The entire counter and cabinet will come out. Most of the fixtures and appliances will not be available--perhaps that will change (anyone got a spare handle for the oven door?).

That's all for now. Probably no update for some weeks.

Hi Zep,
Don't know if you have these on your year/model or not. I am looking for the piece of hardware that attaches the back cushion to the piece of wood that runs along the wall behind the sofa/bed. I believe they are referred to as a "hinge" but is actually 2 pieces - one attached to the piece of wood is the "male" side while the female side is screwed into the back of the cushion (into plywood). Sorry for the long explanation. I have the pieces on the cushion and can take a photo. Missing the pieces on the wood (2).
Thanks!

If you get the tambours over the beds out in one piece, we could use a pair to have 4 that match, instead of two brown and two white. Thanks.

Tambours available

These two tambours are 20-1/8" wide by 19-5/8" high. They are from the cabinet that was across from the mid-goucho.

These two sets of goucho tambours are in reasonable shape. I wouldn't ship the whole item, just the tambours and any hardware pieces you might need. Overlander63 has dibs on at leat two of the tambours. Any hardware with that?

Any interest in brown plastic boxes? Got 8-ish of them, the under-goucho size.

Also, three tambours from under the couches, per the photo in the first post. At least two of them appear to be in reasonable condition.

How about the drawers with built-in rollers and their glides/rails? Also one extra roller that slips into the end of a rail.

Here's some latches. The larger latches appear to have been lightly spray painted white or very light gray--hard to tell after 30 years and a not-too-fastidious PO.

BTW, I'm outta here for 5 days, so don't get crazy if I don't reply.

Two more items came out of the Safari today, a curb side wing window (double pane) in pretty good shape and a vintage vent fan (motor works) that needs a shroud repair.

Is the window still available?

Hi Zep, is your window still available? We are new to the forum, just bought our first airstream this weekend- 1972 safari. One of the side windows is shattered. Previous owner just covered it with plastic stained glass. Awful looking. We were thinking about replacing with the lexan. Just don't have enough knowledge on the situation yet. Is there a difference between street side and curb side windows? Thanks for your reply.
