Edge banding or molding
My 66 has a 1" wide counter top edge. I would like to find some metal molding or edging to accent it, and since we removed the old Dometic it had left some discoloration and cracking on the Formica.
So far everything I found is 3/4" .
Any one have a source? I need as little as 48" but could do the whole kitchen with more.

Or if you want "T" moulding...try this:
ALU0395-P
Again from Outwater Plastics, bottom right.

Alan,
McMaster-Carr has a wide selection of styles and sizes. Maybe one will fit your application.

I had to search for the same edge molding. I found out that your local Ace Hardware store may carry what you need in stock. If they don't have it in stock they can order it from their Ace supply house. You can get it in two sizes: 6' x 3/4" or 6' x 1 1/4". There is one other size but I can't remember the demensions. Cost was $10 or so for the 3/4" and $12 for the 1 1/4". If you can get them to look for you. Contact me and I will call my local store and get it for you. My store still had a few sticks of 3/4". My email is r_whiten@hotmail.com. I am located in Easley, SC not far from you. Where in North Georgia are you located? My parents are in Toccoa, GA.

Thanks I am in Roswell area. I will check with Ace near me. Lowe's said they used to have that but don't anymore, at least the local store.
All us GA Airstream nuts will be in Hiawassee GA April 8-9 by the way.
Kevin- good link there ...I like the push in stem one with the grooves, but I would have to rout a small groove in the wood I guess. #9 looks good to. I appreciate both tips.

Hit HD last night, they had aluminum in 36" to 8' lengths. Never seen that there, but then I wasn't looking. Got what I needed to trim out the 47" edge. It polished out nicely too.

Well, after looking for metal trim at every store that I can think of around home, I checked the stores at my Sister's in Small Town, VA... no luck, so I try the old lumber store in my Dad's town in NC, and low and behold, there it is!
I got 10 pieces for $90 no shipping charges and when I looked up the maker on the internet - Loxcreen - they make the stuff right here in Columbia, SC - 10 miles from the house!

I actually just ordered some t mouding from Rockler.com. Just in case anyone else is looking for the pvc edge that came on some of these 60's trailers.
Vintagetrailer.com has the small cove welting at the back of the counters.

I found the trim this weekend, so I'll be going to Loxcreen today to see if I can by it directly from them.
The radius bend was done slowly with clamps to hold the curve and one to hold it down tight to the top and then nailed off. I used the 7/8" nosing.

I went by Loxcreen here in SC and they sell mainly to OEM's. If they get an order, they make a run of that item. The stock that they do have is available in bundles not pieces, unless a bundle is already broken. I did get a piece of awning rail, but everything else that I was looking for was not in inventory. I'll keep scouring the old lumber yards for new old stock.
