Drop-down shelf by stove???

I would like a drop-down shelf by the stove for my '75 International. I've seen some pictures but inquiries to suppliers have netted no results. Have any of you made your own? Pictures appreciated and info. on hardware requirements would be very helpful.

Can you tell me what color your wood is. I have a shelf and brackets that I purchased out of a mid 70's. It was listed as walnut but arrived more of an oak with a pickled streaking thru it. I've since found another in walnut. The other half wanted one on both sides....

Actually the "pickling" is more of a blue gray color - sorry.

I paid $23 for the shelf and $12 for the flip up brackets on ebay.

If he does use your shelf he could always replace the laminate & edging to match his decor better.
