Question DIY Countertops ~ where o where is my Laminate?

Anybody ever see DIY Counter top laminate for sale in the 1950's 1960's retro / atomic / cracked ice designs?

I am keen to locate it at a big box store or through regular distribution... As opposed to a speciality shop wherein the price is thought the roof.

regards & many thanks. ZSTREAM

Formica and the others have retro stuff : try googling Boomerang and formica or some of the brands at your fave stores.

Cracked ice quote price...is....

Received written quote 9/10. One 4x10 sheet of cracked ice laminate is $450. Plus 85.00 UPS ground. Exceeds my cabinetry budget....

Have you looked at the Rust Oleum Countertop Transformations product?
Might do in a pinch...

We ordered our "boomerang" Formica from Home Depot. It was a 4' x 12' piece and cost us $150. This was last fall. They can special order any Formica or WilsonArt pattern. We ordered only the laminate and constructed the countertop ourselves. We also used it as the backsplash in kitchen area and for the shower wall. It worked great! We got the counter edging from Outwater Plastics online.

Interesting comments on the Formica site regarding the demand for the discontinued aqua boomerang. I can't afford the wilsonart laminate and can't find any old stock aqua boomerang so for now I'm settling for sanded birch plywood with Minwax applied. I'm rather surprised there are no companies producing cool retro designs.
