Question Dinette - would like to add

I have a 1976 22' Globetrotter. I think it would meet my needs a lot better if it had a convertable dinette in the front where the sofa bed is. New models (like Bambi) use this floor plan. Does anyone have any ideas on how this might be accomplished in an economical fashion?

p.s. I am reaonably good with wood working tools.

Thanks to anyone who cares to post.

I too am wanting to add a front dinette...except in our '64 GlobeTrotter. I have been collecting photos & websites that show them a "stock" for a '60's model and came across this site:

Dinette Plans

Although this is an older model than yours, the idea is still the same. Be sure to highlight the page as the text is white-on-white & does not show up.

The biggest difference would be in the width of the trailer - 8' for the '64 & I believe 8'-6" for yours...

Anyway, it's a starting point....

Another thought would be to ask someone who owns an Argosy trailer if they could measure/document their dinette. The dimentions should be the same, the only difference I am aware of is the argosy had the wrap around windows. Width wise it should be the same.

Good Luck
