The "rear end of the trailer dinette" didn't work for us on our 2016 FC 27 FB; we wanted something more comfortable. I removed the existing formica-covered table & the two side benches. On Craigslist, I bought an oval oak table ($25), cut off about a third of it, & mounted the remainder where the old table had been. I also bought on Amazon & installed two swivel armchairs ($85 each): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Voila: a much more comfortable seating arrangement & working desk (at the cost of losing some storage space & the ability to convert the area for sleeping purposes).

I don't fasten the chairs & have not had any problems with their moving while travelling, ie, I have not detected their having moved.
The table I fastened permanently to the back wall of the trailer. It is truly immobile.
