It sounds like a good idea but you may have problems with galvanic reaction from the aluminum shell and frame. I'm sure others have tried this and will chime in. The moisture should'nt be aproblem. I built an outside shed with metal studs about 10 years ago. Covered it with hardi-plank and it looks like new. I also like the shed framing because of the studs and hardiplank I can weld in there without burning it to the ground.

I just pulled my complete dinette (molded bench seats, upholstered pads, drop-down table) from my 2005 28' CCD. This might screw right into your interior. I have pics if interested.

I have just wasted 45 minutes trying to respond to a request for photos. I have not been able to get on except after much frustration. I like the forum, want to participate, but this is the end of it. We complain about corporate A/S, but we can't get this simple act together.

I shot photos an hour ago of my dinette removel project and have the finished pics of the cabinets and lounge chair.

I'll try to get them posted so you can see how it turned out.

I've had good response trying to sell the dinette pcs over the forum, but distance and shipping seemed to be a problem understandable. I just sold it via Craigslist to a fellow rebuilding a SOB motorhome. I'm meeting him at Cabelas to make the change and I bet it costs me $500 to make the sale!
