Closet door latch

Today the latch on our closet door broke. This is the part that screws on the door, it is about 2 inches log with a screw hole in each end, the hook it sticks out about 3/4 inch and the whole device is black plastic. I am not sure this is original equipment since we are the third owners of this unit. Any ideas where I shold look for a replacement latch.
