Can't Figure Where to Hang Paper Towel Holder

We're tired of using one of those wooden paper towel holders that sit on the countertop. Purchased a holder that mounts on the wall ... but can't find anyplace to mount it. Anyone have any suggestions or photos where to mount a paper towel holder?

We don't use a paper towel holder.

Hi, my wife and I decided against using a paper towel holder; We keep a roll in the upper cabinet above our sink.

That's exactly where we keep our roll of paper towels and its always easy to take and grab the whole roll too, which I do often for cleaning.

I have seen paper towel holders mounted under the kitchen cabinet or on the kitchen wall.

I'm thinking of mounting it high inside the upper sink cabinet, then feeding the paper down through a slot cut or routed into the back side of the bottom of the cabinet.

On the road without woodworking tools right now.

On one blog or another, someone put theirs INSIDE a cabinet door in their galley.

As long as it is the friction type of holder that does not unroll by itself it can also be mounted vertically. I mounted mine that way high on the wall next to the kitchen sink. When I need a paper towel I usually have a mess almost up to my elbows and do not want to have to spread that mess to the cabinet doors/handles to get the towels out.
Some, and maybe most people, are neater than I and can hide their towels and not compound the mess.
I also keep a roll under the dinette seat within reach from outside the trailer door.

This is our approach as well.

We're in a 19' and the wardrobe closet is located within reach of the kitchen sink. We found a holder that fits over the top of the door, similar to the hooks and towel racks that fit over the tops of the cabinet doors. Works really well as long as we remember to take it down before traveling, otherwise the whole roll unwinds in transit!

I had a cat once who liked to do that to the toilet paper.

If you want to mount it on the backside of a cabinet door, you may want to do a test fit with foam mounting tape and a full roll installed to verify it won't interfere with closing the door or anything inside. If everything is good, use the right length screws to secure it. If mounted horizontally on a lower door, you can leave the leading edge of the paper towels poking out between the door and the cabinet for ready towel.

We use an over-the-cabinet-door holder for paper towels, which require no screws or installation.

There are similar items, i.e. hooks, which we use for a dishtowel.

These come in a nice brushed metal which goes oh-so-nicely with the interior.

I think this one must be similar to the one Johnco mentions...it looks pretty slick and portable, too... Over Cabinet Paper Towel Holder - Chrome | Paper Towel Holders | Kitchen

Cabinet over the sink for us as well... that way if we need use more than one sheet we can take the roll to the place it is needed

have also found that the blue shop towel type roll that you can get at WalMart or other places are really handy to have for camping... extra strong.

We mounted a chrome springloaded one diagonally at the end of the cabinet over the sink in our 19' Bambi. Very handy for kitchen and dinette use.
