I think this one must be similar to the one Johnco mentions...it looks pretty slick and portable, too... Over Cabinet Paper Towel Holder - Chrome | Paper Towel Holders | Kitchen

Cabinet over the sink for us as well... that way if we need use more than one sheet we can take the roll to the place it is needed

have also found that the blue shop towel type roll that you can get at WalMart or other places are really handy to have for camping... extra strong.

Simplehuman makes some great paper towel holders. We have a counter top model and love it, but they also make a wall mount too...clicky...paper towel holders by simplehuman

We mounted a chrome springloaded one diagonally at the end of the cabinet over the sink in our 19' Bambi. Very handy for kitchen and dinette use.

We use the Viva paper towels. They are highly absorbent, soft and do not unroll when traveling. We went to the Viva brand after discovering a whole roll of the cheap stuff had taken over the galley.

We have a paper towl holder mounted on the side of the upper cabinet in the kitchen. It is not visable unless you are at the sink in the galley. We found it at Lowes and the roll just loads on an open arm. We are very happy with it and agree with another post, that when we are working in the kitchen and have hands and surfaces messy, we would rather pull off a sheet of towel than have to look under a cabinet, or pick up the entire roll for just a couple of sheets. We did have one problem with the towels coming off and onto the floor on one trip. But our bathroom mirror also came off the hinges on that trip - thanks to miss recalculating - who lead us down one of the most pothole roads we have ever been on.

Here's My Solution

Mine is concealed behind the middle overhead locker above the sink on my 2002 ASCL 31'. With the locker door closed I can draw down a paper towel from anywhere in the kitchen.

Towel Holder

I can't take credit for it but the PO mounted a plastic towel holder above the sink that slides horizontally on its' mount to move outward towards the emtry door for easier access. When it's slid back into place it's almost directly over the left sink. Great location for the towels as I'm constantly reaching into the trailer, without entering, to grap a towel for some task I'm working on outside.

I'm still a counter top person, because I didn't want to open a door to get to it. However, I did find a heavier brushed nickel holder with a non skid bottom and I only use Viva towels, which don't unroll by themselves. So far it has never moved from the counter on even the bumpiest of roads.

Paper Towel Holder Location Solved

I finally solved the answer to "where can we hang our paper towel holder?" In the 25 foot floorplan of our Airstream there was no place with a footprint large enough to accomodate a paper towel holder (due to components already taking up real estate on the walls ... like microwave, light switchtes, monitoring system, etc.). I was able to mount the paper towel holder on the side of the range hood. Photos attached.

We mounted one of these on our closet door:

Georgia-Pacific Professional - Product Catalog - GP Multifold Space Saver Towel Dispenser (54720)

This allows easy access from both the bathroom sink and kitchen stove areas in our 19-foot Bambi.
