I currently own a 1979 Argosy Minuet 6.0. Most of the Minuet's from earlier year models have tambour doors. I only have tambour doors under the bathroom and kitchen sinks.
What I'd like to know is if anyone has retrofitted the standard pull up doors (which I have now in the above kitchen and under each bed/sofa) with sliding tambour doors. And if so, where might I be able to purchase them.
The hardest part to find are the tambour tracks. You can make the actual doors yourself by glueing wooden strips to canvas, just check out the existing doors and you'll see how they work.
Here is a link to a company that offers the tambour tracks for sale:
They have all types including Solid Wood, Wood Veneer, Vinyl, Metal & Mirrored, Paintable & Laminate PLUS all the tracks & pieces.
I haven't ordered Tambour from these folks (no need) but I did order stainless steel t-moulding for our countertops & they were terrific to work with...very communicative, items were well packaged and fast shipping.
Thanks for posting those great links. Please, if you get a chance put them on our AirstreamLinks area...it would be a service to the community to have them there.
