I will get some pics and dimensions of the one that I had made, it doesn't have the bent corners cuz i guess that was too difficult but the guy did a great job welding the corners.

If you search on threads with this subject and my screen name, you will find all of the dimensions and pictures you need...I did this several months ago for the forum, using our Sovereign.

Here are some pics of the one I had made. It is made of 1 x 1 1/2 aluminum tubing. I used the hinges that I got from Inland Andy, even though they are not the same as original they still work well. They fold up opposite of how the originals do but that works well because they are held open by weight. They canvas isn't installed yet but my mother made it using the original as a guide.

Oh my gosh, the possibilities!
I can picture a smaller size one to install above the end of my bed for one of my dogs.
Having my bed back to myself and rediscovering legroom. Heaven....
You should sell these.

If you care to, check out my blog post regarding the bunks I've "engineered" for our '63 Globetrotter. We've used them on a couple of trips and they have worked beautifully.

I added photos on my page of the bunks we built in for our seven kids. We used Coleman camping cots and some oak.
