Bed/gaucho install

Ok I am ready to pull what's left of my hair out. I can't figure out exactly how the beds go back into my 78 23' Safari. These came out of a different trailer but same year and model. The screw holes are easy enough to line up on the wall but since there is so much slide/slack in hype arms I am not sure of the exact floor position. Does this make sense and can anyone offer any advice? Or if you are close to the St. Louis area I'll even accept some help!

Thanks
