Bath Mirror Opening

Recently purchased - 2005 Safari. Consider ourselves newbies. We have only taken 3 trips. Put items into the "medicine cabinet" mirror. The mirror has some velcro on it - to one would except - keep the mirror closed.

Ours however does not, After each trip ----remember only 3------ all of the items we have put in the bath mirror are on the floor of the bath.

Any ideas to keep it closed for trips, iie heaver velcon- some kind of strap?????

Go to Home Depot or Lowes or your favorite local hardware store. They should have a catch that is magnetic. You screw the magnet part into the side of the cabinet. The backside of the mirror gets a round steel self stick plate. If you pack it full, get 2 catches. put one near the top & the other near the bottom. A lot of entertainment centers & stereo cabinets with glass doors use this type of catch.

Thank you so much. Will go out and find something tomorrow. I was obsessed with the velcro since that was there already.

Well we put 3 magnets on the mirror along with velcro. We had no success. Resorted to duct taping the mirror shut after the thing came off the hinges. replacement mirror $250 plus from a/s. We were at a marine store and found some velcro for boats. Guess what??? We finally have a fix. One strip on the top of the cabinet and one on the side. Might go back and get more of that marine velcro, it is truly strong stuff.
