OK, next questions. I'm looking for a wiring diagram of the electric and 12 volt in my 68 Safari Twin. I cant seem to get my 12 volt working. There are 2 red and 2 white battery cables that run staight up towards the bottom of the back window. Hooking them up to the battery did nothing. There is also some contraption/charger that has a red and a white battery cable hooked to it and wired hot, they go into interior skin under my bathroom sink. Does anyone know where to look for a wiring diagram of how it is wired? Also, I'll be installing a Coleman 13,500 btu ac. Does anyone have the wiring requirments and instalation instructions they could share? I'm going to have to install the nessisary wiring for instalation.

Thanks again,
Scott

Well, I have all of the twin bed cabinetry out as well as the goucho(I think that's what its called). We even got all of the flooring out. There was carpet on top of 12 x 12 tile. The plywood floor is in great shape except for a little at the door and curb side access area. I can try to post pics of the process if anyone cares. I have a five day weekend coming up and hope to have all of my cabinetry built and possibly reinstalled by Tuesday. I'm still looking for the wiring diagrams, ac wiring requirements and help with the 12 volt system. I also noticed that my window, street side between the galley and front is plexiglass. Any chance of finding a glass replacement?

Thanks, Scott

Hi there Scott,

Can't help you with wiring but I can with the window question. AirstreamDreams (http://www.airstreamdreams.com/ ) has Corning window replacements. I bought 3 for my '67 Safari and am very pleased with them. Good luck with your trailer, Diane

Thanks! I wasnt expecting $250, thank god I only need one. I bookmarked the site. I think I'll wait till I'm done with the cabinetry and floor to replace the window. Thanks again for the help.

It is not mandatory, but can be a very good thing. You may then have more access to resources of the combined WBCCI and the VAC.
And, you then get to put those big red numbers on your trailer.

Hi Scott, The contraption/charger is probably the univolt. It converts AC to DC and charges the battery. Get a new one... Do the red and white wires lead to a distibution block or panel? This might be under the battery. A picture would be nice. There is a lot of help out there if you do a little leg work.
