'65 Safari Goucho Cushion Questions

hi,
i'm about to have my cushions rebuilt for a safari i bought last spring. im not sure the way they are now are correct or original. i have seen a post where one of the cushions is sewed to the other and they sort of fold up. can anyone take a look at my pics and see if they can tell me if this is correct and if not what i need to do.

its pretty obvious that when i pull the goucho out i can lay all 3 cushions side by side, but when in the couch position it doesn't seem correct.
