I am building a new Goucho for my Overlander. All has gone well so far, but I am at a loss for how the slides are hinged to the base??? I could really use some insight on this one and maybe a photo or two. I hope to post a picture of the area in question a little later.

Tedd, our gaucho does not have a hinge...it has slides?? Do you need pictures? or is yours different from ours?? Let us know if we can get some shots of ours for you.

We have a 1963 Bambi. I am basically clueless if our Goucho is similar to yours, but I rather doubt they made great technical strides between 63 and 67. Anyway, my husband rebuilt ours to make repairs when he had our trailer apart. On page 24 of his thread (Floor replacement by NorCal Bambi) he has some pictures of the slides, etc. Scroll down.
Thank you for your input. I have found the hinge!!! Now just to figure out the rest of the slide out part.
There has to be more than just the front board and slides that hold the 1/4" ply up. It is so thin and I am so heavy.

Oh, by the way the plans on VintageAirstream are a great guide but are (as they state) a referance. Thay are basicaly for a mid 50's trailer. I may put together a set of plans for my late 60's Goucho for them to add to there collection.

Tedd, So far it is looking real good. Can't wait to see the end product. Do you think it will be fully installed by the fall get-together at Pecatonica? Ed

Ed, I hope to have it assembled and installed tonight!!! I leave tomorrow for the caraven and would like to sleep in it. As for "Finished" I plan on removing it over the winter to clean up and stain the wood to match the rest of the trailer.
