Still looking for info.

Still looking for info on a 24ft 1980 Caravelle? I read some where that the frame cross members where every 48 inches instead of 24. And this was done to reduce weight. Does anyone know if this is correct? And what else was done to reduce the weight? Also because so few where made does that make them more costly?
