looking for 22' with equal size side windows....

Not sure if that is an english expression, but still as long as I got your attention....

In my love affaire with caravelles I have come accross a 22 which I have now purchased to renovate, but in this process have also found that the 22 must have been built in different guises:
- single axle, windows exactly shaped like minuet 6.7 (3 equal size on road side)
- single axle, first window on street side narrower and longer (also beside entry door) than minuet
- dual axle, first window on street side narrower and longer (also beside entry door)

Has anyone ever seen and or know of (possibly for sale, please please) a 22 caravelle with dual axle set up with 3 equal size windows on the street side? (and a similar sized window next to the door.?)

thx

Caravels were only made in 17 and 18 foot lengths.

No Caravel ever had tandem axles.

Andy, You are mistaken on the Caravelle. There IS a Caravelle, as per the spelling in above post, that was longer than 18'. This Caravelle of the 80's was a 20'.

From what I have found this appears to be incorrect. In 1980 Airstream made Caravelles is 20, 22, & 25 foot lengths with the 22 & 25 footers having dual axles.

Here is a 1981 Excella II - it is the same narrow width as a small Caravelle and 22' long. The windows are the same size on both sides. Not sure if this is what your looking for......

This is the body shape I am familiair with: dual axle unequal size windows (2 are the same 3rd, the one clusest to the front is different). I was wondering if they ever produced a dual axle with equal windows like the minuet 6.7 (see picture). Again the reason for the query is that my 1980 owners manual shows a caravelle 22 on the front page with the exact specs of a minuet 6.7 (except for it being alu), single axles and same windows (except for wrap around not being as wide as the minuet).

About the caravel's lengths remarks: Caravels and Caravelles are two totally different trailers series.

thx

Wow those Caravelles are really cute! The 22 foot long one looks like the perfect size!
