Greetings Lyn!
For vinyl striping, you likely have two choices:
- Layering stock vinyl stock material that has been cut to duplicate the original striping.
- Custom vinyl graphics. Sign painting shops and some automotive trim specialty shops may be able to handle this type of work.
If you aren't determined to have vinyl striping, you might try contacting your nearest vocational school that has an automotive paint and body program. Often, they will accept jobs from the community. The decals could then be duplicated in paint -- and they may even be a bit more durable than vinyl. When I taught in our local vocational school, the only set cost was for materials and parts. Most of the time, the clients made small donations to the department's vocational fund.
Good luck with your research!
