Thanks Bambitex, I looked in the manual afterwards and saw it's supposed to be there.. it is just in excellent condition so maybe it was replaced at some point

Mine looks the same. Very little wear and tear I guess.

~*~ update ~*~

oof, so the trailer is CLEAN no longer smells like something is dead in there (or more like 8 somethings) and new subfloor is in. Bathroom has been reinstalled and we are working our way back along the sides. Sealed everything. Shockingly the electrical WORKS, water pump works. I am honestly amazed at how well things were built 50 years ago.

I hate rivets.

Plan is to put it back together and sell, we just don't have the will or desire to keep her - Much rather have a small cottage to enjoy our land in the next year or two

Will post pics soon!

Posting for sale

Best place to post an ad for the airstream? Kijiji? Craigslist?

In the classified section here IMO -- see grey tab at the top under AIR FORUMS:

Would you mind telling us why you have decided to sell, in addition to your comments in Post #45? Hopefully the work you have done, mainly smell remediation, should benefit you!

Good luck and thanks for the updates,

Peter

It wouldn't surprise me that with a bit of sweat-equity work, that the AS might be worth more than the land! If I were you, I'd look it over before disposing of it casually.

Reasons why...

We are currently pregnant with #3 and will not have the time nor the will to make it ours.

We would much rather it go to someone who would be able to turn it into theirs and use it.

I agree - getting the smell out should be worth an easy 20 G right?
